Mouse Somatosensory Cortex Pyramidal Neuron: z-series projection through 200um thick section at 20x magnification. The image displays a biocytin-filled pyramidal neuron in layer IV of the barrel cortex of an Emx1cre+/- NR1loxP+/- (control) mouse; the pial surface of this coronal section is located in the upper right hand corner of the image. The image was captured on a Zeiss Axiovert 100 microscope equipped with motorized xyz stepping stage interfaced to MCID image aquisition and analysis software.
