Description
This protocol can be used to visualize denatured RNA

Procedure
Combine 1ug RNA in 10ul glyoxal reaction mix. Incubate 55 degC for 1 hr. Run out on a 1% agarose gel (made with 1x BTPE buffer) at 5V/cm.

Recipes
10x BTPE:
3 g PIPES
6 g Bis-Tris
2ml .5M EDTA
90 ml DEPC H2O
Then top off to 100 ml.

Glyoxal reaction mix:
6ml DMSO
2ml 6M glyoxal
1.2 ml 10X BTPE
0.6 ml 80% glycerol
0.2 ml 10 mg/ml EtBr
Store at -80 deg C in dark
