上海交通大学公开招聘农业与生物学院院长公告

上海交通大学是我国历史最悠久的高等学府之一，是教育部直属、教育部与上海市共建的全国重点大学，是国家 “七五”、“八五”重点建设和“211工程”、“985工程”的首批建设高校。经过116年的不懈努力，上海交通大学已经成为一所“综合性、研究型、国际化”的国内一流、国际知名大学，并正在向世界一流大学稳步迈进。

上海交通大学农业与生物学院的前身是上海农学院，创办于1959年。1999年9月，并入上海交通大学，成立了上海交通大学农学院，2002年3月更名为上海交通大学农业与生物学院。近年来，学院秉承“以农为本、立足上海、服务全国、面向世界”的办学指导思想，紧紧依托学校的优势学科，以现代生物技术、信息技术、工程技术和综合学科交叉来提升传统农科，从学科布局、组织构架到制度创新推出了系列改革举措，努力创出一流综合性大学建设现代农科的新路。

学院下设植物科学系、动物科学系、园林科学与工程系、资源与环境系、食品科学与工程系；拥有农业部都市农业（南方）重点实验室、上海市兽医生物技术重点实验室、上海食品安全工程技术研究中心，设有挂靠学院的“上海交通大学新农村发展研究院”、“交大-复旦-诺丁汉植物生物技术研发中心”、“上海交通大学陆伯勋食品安全研究中心”等部门。现有教职工222人，其中专任教师132人，教授（研究员）44人、中组部“千人计划”3人、“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授和讲座教授3人、杰出青年基金获得者1人。

为了进一步加快学院发展，冲击世界一流目标，上海交通大学面向海内外公开招聘农业与生物学院院长，真诚欢迎海内外有识之士报名应聘。

聘用待遇：按照上海交通大学《关于高层次人才引进与培养的若干意见》的规定，提供相应的工资、岗位津贴及住房津贴、科研启动经费等。

Search for Dean of the School of Agriculture and Biology

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is one of the leading universities in China. The School of Agriculture and Biology was established in 1959 and was incorporated into SJTU in September 1999. The School has since then inherited SJTU’s profound humanistic style and academic tradition, achieved many honors, and educated numerous young talents.

Currently, the School consists of Department of Plant Science, Department of Animal Science, Department of Resource and Environment, Department of Food Science and Engineering, Department of Landscape Architecture, and several research institutes such as the Key Laboratory of Urban Agriculture (South), Ministry of Agriculture, the SJTU-FD-Nottingham Plant Biological Technology Research and Development Center, the Bor S.Luh Food Safety Research Center of SJTU etc.. In July 2006 the New Rural Development Institute of SJTU was founded and has been affiliated to the School. There are 222 full-time faculty members.

To fast develop the School into a world-class institute, SJTU is seeking qualified candidates for the Deanship of the Faculty worldwide. Candidates should have achieved academic standing appropriate for appointment at the full professor level with proven track records in research and academic leadership in internationally leading universities and research institutes.

Review of applications is from the date of publishing to September 12, 2012. Startup fund and competitive salary package will be offered based on the experience and qualification of the candidate.
