二、招聘条件

1、身体健康，年龄在50岁以下（特别优秀者可适当放宽）；

2、为人正派，事业心强，具有优秀的思想品质，具有较强的组织协调能力和团队协作能力；

3、具有博士学位及正高级技术职称，海外应聘人员要在国外（境外）知名院校（世界排名前200名）取得博士学位、在国外（境外）工作3年及以上，或在国外（境外）工作5年及以上，且被著名高校、科研院所和知名实验室等正式聘为副教授及以上职称的专家学者；

4、学术造诣深厚，在科学研究方面取得国内外同行公认的重要成就。

三、薪酬待遇

根据南京信息工程大学高层次人才引进待遇方案（试行）的有关规定，学科带头人引进人才相关待遇为：年薪制，年薪20-100万。具体工作内容及考核标准面议。

INSTITUTIONAL PROFILE:

Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST) was founded in 1960 and renamed from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology in 2004. It is a national first-tier university. It has 24 departments or colleges, 12 scientific research institutions and one international training center. It offers undergraduate programs for 42 majors, including science, engineering, management, literature, economics, laws and agriculture. The academic level on atmospheric science ranks the top in China and enjoys a high reputation in the world. It also has various programs for master and doctor degrees.

The university is located in Nanjing, eastern China, about 75 minutes from Shanghai by train. It covers an area of 140 hectares with a floor space of 420,000 square meters. Currently, there are 18,000 students and over 1,300 faculty members on the campus.

About 30,000 students have so far been graduated from the university and many of them have become backbones in different areas such as science and technology, education and administration. Some of them have been promoted to deputy secretary-general with WMO, academicians of China Academy of Science and China Academy of Engineering. Many alumni abroad have become renowned scientists and scholars and take important jobs in international organizations and countries in Europe and North American.

A total of 24 scientific and technological rewards have been awarded to the university, of which one is the first prize at state level and four are first prize at provincial level. In addition, international rewards like Award of Excellence of Scientific Achievement of SPIE, WMO NORBERT GERBIER-MUMM Award and Buchan Award of British Royal Meteorological Academy are also received.

Extensive exchanges and cooperation on scientific research and intellectual fostering with foreign universities and research institutes have been carried out. The WMO Regional Meteorological Training Center, established on the campus of the university in 1993, has trained 568 junior and senior personnel engaged in meteorology and its administration for 91 countries and regions around the world. The university has therefore become an important base for WMO to train senior meteorologists and administrators for developing countries.

JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for 10-15 professors of Economics/Management Science and Engineering with strong academic background and high passion for doing research.

There are two types of positions:

1. Full time professor needs to sign a contract for 3-5 years. The achievements will be evaluated at the end of the period and the contract can be expanded to another period if the evaluation results are satisfying.

2. Part time professor needs to work for no less than 1 months per year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Obtained Ph.D from the world’s top 400 universities or institutions (according to the Times Higher Education Rankings 2012);

2. Been employed in academic institutions as a professor or an associate professor;

3. Have publications on Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) journals or Science Citation Index (SCI) journals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Publish at least 1 article on SSCI or SCI journals each year (both for full time and part time).

2. Mentor 2 junior faculties with their research and teaching (both for full time and part time).

3. Teach for 4-8 credit hours per week, i.e., 4-8 classes each lasting for 45 minutes (for full time)

4. Other responsibilities concerning teaching and doing research.

SALARIES:

1. For full-time positions, salaries of RMB 200,000 to RMB1,000,000 annually will be offered, according to the academic backgrounds and achievement targets of the applicants.

2. For part-time positions, salaries of RMB 1500 per day will be offered.
