1994-1997年 哈佛医学院 /霍华德.休斯医学研究院,研究员;

1997-1999年 昆士兰大学生理学系视觉、触觉和听觉研究中心,高级研究员;

1999-2004年 中国科学院神经科学研究所研究员,视网膜结构和功能研究组组长。中国神经科学会常务理事,神经生理专业委员会主任。

2005年,中国科学院生物物理研究所研究员 

研究组工作摘要:以视网膜为模型,研究大脑中神经环路的形成和信号处理,特别是运动方向计算的机制。神经细胞树突的发育和调控。
